Barbera d'Alba
Denomination of controlled origins
Superiore
This Barbera's origins lay in hills well known for both their sunshine and predominant limestone structure. A limited production, a scrupolous winemaking process and maturation in small oak for one year at least, allow the grape's potential and strong character to be fully appreciated and to be called "Superiore". Further refinement in the bottle enriches the wine’s nose and helps compliment its soft taste. The colour is ruby red with purple reflections. Its bouquet has a pleasant suggestion of vanilla and fruity notes that recall plum jam. The taste is full and marked, but also soft and well balanced, creating a long and warm persistency.
